The Canopus MediaEdge system is designed to carry MPEG-2 video over a standard CAT5 Ethernet network from a server computer running the MediaEdge server software to the remote set-top box units. The system can be used to play video advertising for kiosks; play entertainment/music videos in bars/hotels and restaurants or *IN THE HOME*; or can be set to a schedule to play programs for a community TV station (such as city council meetings, etc.)

The server software runs on a Windows 2000/XP/2003 computer. The included security dongle requires a USB port. Video is delivered over the computer's network connection and can be mixed and with your regular Ethernet data traffic using standard switches, hubs and routers.

Two remote set-top units are included and can play the same program or differing programs. The server software allows you to create play lists and schedule them for playback. Control of the server software is via web browser and can be done locally or remotely!

I have extensive experience in setting up these systems and can help you get up and running.

Front of set-top units shows power indicator, play/active status, network status indicators:
